In continuation of the implementation of the Performance Improvement Action Plan (PIAP) and the PDO for Q3, the Budget Committee of Imo State Water and Sewerage Corporation (ISWSC) convened a strategic meeting to review the draft budget for the upcoming year 2024.
Mrs. MaryTeddy Ononogbo led the discussion, delving into various aspects of the draft budget. She meticulously explained sections related to recurrent expenditures, sources of revenue, and the nominal role of staff. In an intensive two-hour session held yesterday, participants shared their insights and offered valuable suggestions on tender fees, excursion fees, licences, registration, charges, rents, overhead costs, nominal roll, and others to fine-tune the budget and address any existing gaps.
The Budget Committee’s involvement in this comprehensive budget review demonstrates the commitment of ISWSC and the NG-SURWASH project to ensure prudent financial planning, transparency, and the optimization of resources for the enhancement of water supply and sanitation services in Imo State.
