In yet another continuation towards the implementation of the Performance Improvement Action Plan (PIAP) activities and the PDO for Q2, Orlu office of ISWSC dove headfirst into action on the 30th of August, 2023, initiating an extensive cleaning and disinfection process for the monumental 100,000-gallon Overhead Tank at Eluama Waterworks.
According to the zonal manager Engr Bright Chimezie, who also led the team, the undertaking signifies ISWSC’s mission of providing safely managed and affordable water supply in the state, as team’s task was to inject lime and chlorine treatments. This dynamic duo will cleanse and disinfect not just the colossal elevated tank but also the equally impressive 100,000-gallon ground-level reservoir.
It is all in preparation for the impending dry season when the thirst for clean water skyrockets. With this proactive action, ISWSC ensures that residents of Imo state can quench their thirst safely and reliably.
