In continuation of the implementation of 2023 Performance Improvement Action Plans (PIAPs) and the PDO of NG-SURWASH programme, the Management and other key players of ISWSC have been introduced to the upgraded version of the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP).

While welcoming the members of the meeting, the Managing Director/CEO of ISWSC Engr Emeka Celestine Ugoanyanwu stated that the maiden engagement of the ISWSC Management by the consultant was to reactive and upgrade the Corporation’s ERP for effective operations.

He explained that Enterprise Resource Plainning (ERP) as a transformative software application will changes the way the Corporation operates, thereby enhancing efficiency and ensuring transparency and accountability. He traced the ERP project for ISWSC to 2021 with USAID E-WASH project while regretting that 90% of the staff who benefited from the previous trainings have retired and some have moved abroad for better greener pastures.

According to Engr Ugoanyanwu, “The high staff turnover, the apparent gaps and urgent need to train the need staff, upgrade the ERP and expand its content informed the engagement of the consultant.”

He therefore enjoined the senior managers and key players of the Corporation to take the engagement and subsequent trainings very seriously as all management activities will be fully integrated in the ERP, adding that it would greatly enhance the Corporation’s capacity to achieve the PDO of NG-SURWASH.

In the course of the engagement, the ERP consultant who also fielded questions from members took the participants through different modules as they relate to their departments and units. Notwithstanding, it is also expected that innovative modules will be designed for Communication Unit to enhance its performance and service delivery as the image-maker of the Corporation.
