In continuation of the visit by the WorldBank Technical Support Mission, there was a sequel ‘discuss’ at the ISWSC complex to mark the Day2 of the Mission’s visit.

Dr. Andy Obinna The S.A to the Imo State Governor on Urban Water Hon. Tanana Biaduo The ISWSC Management & Staff led by the MD/CEO ISWSC Engr. Emeka Ugoanyanwu FNSE FNIWE NPOM FOSHA KSJI Representatives from ISSTOWA and RUWASSA etc. The Day2 program featured an Interaction between the WorldBank Technical Support Mission team and the Imo State Water and Sewerage Corporation. The interaction embodied a presentation by the MD/CEO ISWSC Engr. Emeka Ugoanyanwu FNSE FNIWE NPOM FOSHA KSJI on the status activities for PIAPs, Implementation and Readiness, as well as presentation of the Work Plan. It also featured an Interaction and discussion between the WorldBank and ISWSC staff.
The presentation and discussion was indeed fruitful as several activities where highlighted and the WorlBank team expatiated on relevant areas in anticipation of actualizing the stipulated goals of the SURWASH program in the state.
In Concluding the interactive discussion session, SURWASH SFP/MD/CEO ISWSC Engr. Emeka Ugoanyawu thanked His Excellency Distinguished Senator Hope Uzodimma the Executive Governor of Imo State for his efforts to reposition the WASH sector of the state and his enormous support to achieve every step of the SURWASH program in the State.
He went further to thank the WorldBank team for their support and consistent directions as he assured them that the Utility will continue to put in more efforts to achieve the desired expectations of the SURWASH program. Furthermore, he also thanked the SPIU and IAs for their resilience to achieve all desired goals and craved the indulgence of all staff to ‘put all hands on deck’.
Along same vein, the S.A to the Imo State Governor on Urban Water Hon. Tanana Biaduo also thanked the Governor and encouraged all IAs to put in more efforts to achieve the desired result in the SURWASH program.
Taking us further into the day was a continuation of the WorldBank Technical Support Mission Capacity Building (SANITATION TECHNICAL SESSION) which looked into CityWide Inclusive Sanitation CWIS and the Sanitation Disbursement Linked Indicators DLIs.
The interactions and trainings ended in an applause.
