In Imo state the three USAID EWASH funded Grantee CSOs were not left out as they join the global community in awareness creation about menstruation and empowerment opportunities for the girl child and women in general across communities and groups in Owerri, Orlu and Okigwe.
WEWE, the grantee CSO implementing in Owerri was with women and female Youths of Umuororonjo Community. With integrated messaging around COVID 19 and Menstrual Hygiene Management. Participants here were further engage in conversations around myths and misconceptions associated with menstruation.
This session was facilitated longest serving female staff of the ISWSC Mrs. Akujobi Edith who took participants through effective ways of Menstrual waste Disposal, Importance of MHM and demonstration on how best to set a pad ready for use.
